Intexure architects designed this home in the heart of Houston's Museum Park neighborhood.

The sixth-annual Modern Architecture + Design Society's Modern Home Tour on Sept. 24 will take you into some of the city's newest clean lines modern homes with Connection to nature.

It's a lesson in design, showing off the clean lines of design, box-on-box structure, indoor-outdoor planning and, quite frankly, some engineering marvels.

The event is 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sept. 24 and costs $35 per person in advance -- by 8 p.m. Sept. 23 --  or $40 at the door. If you're buying tickets at the door, go to the MA+DS website and look for the google map. It has icons where each of the homes are and you can get the addresses where you'll buy a ticket at your first stop.

You won't have to travel to far-flung addresses -- the homes are located from Bunker Hill to Bellaire, Montrose to the Museum District.

The event benefits Lawndale Art Center.
